Hey buddy, can you spare a rock?
Have you got some rocks in your own collection that you'd like to show off? If you can supply suitable photographic prints, transparencies, image files or video tape of your rocks, I will consider displaying them here in the Shop (my rent is pretty cheap so I can afford to share some space). While the Shop has and will continue to emphasize mineral specimens and collecting as its primary focus, work is underway to expand coverage to encompass other rockhounding interests and passions such as meteorites, lapidary and gemstone projects. Images to facilitate this expansion are sorely needed and most welcome.
Have you worked a collecting site or two that you'd like to share with your fellow rockhounds? If so, the Shop will be glad to add your site to the collecting site catalog. Or perhaps you've visited one of those sites and would like to provide updated information, add your input, or share your luck. If you can arrange to provide suitable image files or video tape of a collecting site, they can be worked into an illustrated site description. Please consider graphically documenting the directions to the site as well.
Perhaps you've got an informational essay or a rock-related news article you'd like to publish at the Shop? Or an idea for a new feature you'd like to see here? Or a link or other resource for rockhounds? I'd be pleased to hear from you.
