Gypsum
Calcium Sulfate Hydrate, CaSO4.2H2O

Gypsum is a common mineral of widespread and abundant occurrence. It is formed durng the evaporation of the waters of inland seas and salt lakes and is a common constituent of the oxidized zones of sulfide ores.
