Grossular
Calcium Aluminum Silicate, Ca3Al2(SiO4)3

Grossular is a member of the garnet group. It is typically a product of thermal and contact metamorphism of calcareous and aluminous rocks.

David Michaels provided the following on this specimen:
"The Green Grossular is from the Thetford Mines in Quebec. This piece was in a box buried in a closet of a friend."
