An Over-the-Hill died-in-the-wool rock collector that is still an excited "Newbie." My favorite expression is: "Oooohhh, stop the car! I see a good rock!" After all these decades, I'm currently taking a Geology 101 class to find out what I have been collecting all these years... . Maybe after the class, I might even learn "WHERE" to look. If it's pretty or unusual, I pick it up. My favorite is probably Opals. I have been walking the Western Nevada hills for over 35 years and my garage and back yard show it! Anyone want to share some good, above ground sites for me to check out in Western Nevada? I'd sure appreciate it. After all these years , I finally acquired an old, small rock tumbler... maybe now I can see the real inner beauty of what I have been collecting for many years.
Kool! This is the first time I have EVER been on the NET, so thanks for being there for me!
