Interests: I like digging around skarns and rhyolites and basaltic dike and sill complexes which have intruded rhyolitic flows. There are lots of interesting geodes which form in the vesiculated basalts and rhyolites, and skarns in Glenwood Cirque at the Elkhorn Mountains yield some nice specimens of epidote, garnet, and axinite. Some of the abandoned mines will provide plenty of digging for quartz crystals and calcite rhombs.
