Aragonite Clusters
- Aragonite
Calcium Carbonate, Orthorhombic CaCO3
- Aragonite is formed in spring deposits and from sulfate-bearing saline solutions; in beds with gypsum,
in cavities with lavas and in limestone caverns. It is trimorphous with calcite and vaterite. Aragonite
is metastable under standard conditions and tends to revert to the stable calcite.
