Re: Looking to learn and ask questions about rocks

Arlene, I suggest that you go to Bob's Rock shop main menu and go to rock clubs.Select the state you are in and find the nearest rock club in your area. That will the best place to continue your "education" in this wonderful hobby. You will be able to go on rock hunts, cut what you find and make something out of it. The club members will be a wealth of information and help you to identify rocks and mineral you already have and find in the future. If they have an annual show what a better place to learn and obtain material. Books are museums great but eyeball to eyeball with folks who love and know about our hobby is invulable. I hope you have a wonderful time in our hobby. Careful rock pocks has no cure.
