Re: Starting up a Lapidary Shop

Zafer,

Before you take a big leap into the world of lapidary I suggest you find a local rock club (go to Bob's main menu and go to clubs and find one near you). Seeing that you have no experience in lapidary you can learn at a club, see what equipment they have. Learn from that and the club members and you will have a better idea of what you are getting into. Also, is there a need for a lapidary shop in your area? If you do not have customers that are interested in rocks and finished rock type products, you may well have wasted a lot of money. Do your research!! I have been in business a long time and you better know your market. Rocks and lapidary are a very vertical business. I hope that you do well.
