Re: Rock Rascal Model J

CHUCK,
BEEN THERE, DONE THAT.THERE IS A SCREW IN THE DECK OF THE TRIM SAW RIGHT SIDE OF BLADE HALF WAY TO THE EDGE,I HAD TO USE A DRIVER TO GET THE SCREW LOOSE,ONCE THE SCREW IS REMOVE, THE WHOLE PLATE WITH SAW GUARD WILL COME OFF,CAREFULL THIS STUFF IS JUST ALUMINIUM SO IT CAN BREAK.I MYSELF USED THE HAMMER METHOD,USE A HAMMER TO LIGHTLY TAP THE TABLE UPSIDE DOWN ,YOU WILL SEE WHERE IT WILL COME APART AND THEN I USED A LARGE FLAT SCREW DRIVER TO PRY THE TWO PIECES APART,YOU WILL SEE ALOT OF OXYDATION, BEFORE PUTTING BACK TOGETHER CLEAN ALL SERFACES,SCRAP,FILE AND WIRE BRUSH AND YOU CAN EVEN PAINT IF YOU WANT.HOPE THIS HELPS,BILLY
