Thanks for the useful inputs. Numbers on flash point and auto ignition dont lie---using kerosine carries risks. And you need to keep your nose out of it--but I think thats true for all oils.
Glad to see I am not the only one rolling slab saws outside to operate. Mist off any of the coolants have to be very very bad for lungs. I am also using a fan to help me "staying up wind".
I am still surprised at the lack of reported "ignition" events with kerosine. I personally know of at least 15 people that have used it for years and years. None will acknowledge problems. I now have one reported case.
The one positive thing with kerosine is the cleanliness---I think that is fact.
