Re: petrified Wood in SW Wisconsin?

hello I actually live in Columbia county just on the outer skirts of the city of Columbus, and today while watering the garden I found what I thought was a piece of wood, I went to pick it up and it was hard like stone. I washed it off with the garden hose and let dry in the sun. I took a magnet off the fridge and put it up too the piece and it was not magnetic, then I realized it must be a piece of petrified wood. its about 3 inches long by about on inch wide and about 1/2inch thick.
