I was also unsuccessful at installing OsoSoft MineralLabel under Windows 7. A shame, MineralLabel was a nice program and I printed a lot of specimen labels with it back in the day.

If you are not a Microsoft Word user, you might want to take a look at Apache Open Office. Open Office is open source software and it is freely available:
