I use a water base in one of my trim saw and oil in the other. Please make sure that the stone your cutting can be cut with oil. There are quite a few stones that if cut with oil will be changed. I buy my oil from a ranch supply store, they use it for horse laxative. (its a very good grade of mineral oil) If I need a small amount to top off the saws then I use good old WAL MART a pint of mineral oil is only $1.58 here in the Denver aera.
