Newbie question about saw lubricants

As I assemble my newly acquired Highland Park E10 machine and am deciding on specifics, I find I am a bit confused about saw coolants. There are many options: water soluble and non-soluble, powders and liquids. So far, I am considering a powdered, water soluble lubricant for a diamond trim saw. I would relish advice and opinions concerning the pros and cons of using the various types of saw lubricants, bearing in mind I am on a very strict budget. Thanks
