Bob, Mark and all,
I have found perfectly round rocks that were trapped in potholes in the volcanic rocks along Lake Superior in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Other finds are copper, silver, gold, small agates and jaspers. All if given enough time in these potholes, due to heavy wave action, will round out. Beware however that there may be items in there that can cause injury to your hands. So don't just go plunging your hands into these potholes, cautiously enter these areas with your hands. There may be old nails and spikes, and God only knows what else, from days gone by that can be very sharp and rusty that could cause injuries to your hands.
