A Native American kazoo? Er, no, on second thought.... Seriously, Ward, it suggests to me a part of a tobacco-pipe that could be smoked from either or both ends, perhaps perhaps in some symbolic gesture. Probably I have it all wrong, but that's what I see. (For whatever it means, I am a retired anthropologist, but my background is in neither Native Americans nor archeology.) Or you could just call it a "fishing weight."
