Re: Need help identifying!
We really need a good, in focus, close up of your pebble to even make a stab at a guess. Uploading photos is not difficult. First, of course, you need to take a shot with a digital camera, if you don't have one, a friend probably does. Once you have the picture on your computer, you need to make sure it is saved as a JPEG file, and you need to re-size the file to fit on the web, I looked and couldn't find the exact specs for Rock Net, but most sites do well at around 72 dpi, and 8 or so inches wide.
When you are ready, go to the Photo Gallery page, and there is a button at the top that says, Upload Photo. Click it. Then there will be a spot for your name, and a spot for the name of the file. To the left of this second spot is a button that says Browse, it will take you to the files on your computer, and you just go to the area where you have the file stored, click on it, and then you computer will give you a button that says "downlosd", or maybe "Save". Mine says "Save", depends on your system what it will say. Click that option, and the computer will then download your file to Rock Net, complete with its file name. There is then a space where you can type a short description of the photo.
Hope this helps. If you have problems with the resizing, ask the 12 year old next door, she'll know how. Keep in mind, the most important requirement is an in-focus picture, it doesn't matter how close the close-up is, if it's not in-focus.
