Rockhounding in North Dakota

We are taking my 9yr.old grandson fishing and Rockhounding in Minnesota & North Dakota. I've found information for Minn.,but not much for North Dakota.
So my question is,does anyone have any rock collecting tips for North Dakota ?
Thanks in advance.
