ZAM is not going to increase the polish on harder stones if you have already gone to 100K diamond. Probably wouldn't add much if anything after 8K to 14K diamond.

For softer stones, especially turquoise and variscite, it may well improve the polish some as it is wax based and many softer stones are slightly porous and the wax fills in the tiny pores and adds to the polish.

Would need to be careful with oplas as the heat generated by ZAM might crack the opal.

I personally use Linde A for anything 6 and under and optical grade Cerium oxide for agates and jaspers and diamond for anything harder.
