Re: Re: Re: West Indian (Caribbean) Agates on Jamaica
You do have some nice pieces to show. I am wondering what size your photos
are, kilobytes or megabytes? Have you reduced their size? If they are what they are then trying to increase size will only pixelate the pictures making them appear out of focus or having distortion. If you have reduced their size then try to submit without reducing. Right click on your photos and select properties. That will tell you how large the file size is. This site does have a limit as to file size for photos. As long as you are under the limit they will upload. I usually downsize my photos to 75% of the file size before submitting. Most of my picture files fall between 1 & 1.5 megabytes. I believe the size limit for a picture file here is 1 megabyte. So having picture files close to but not exceeding 1 megabyte will show your stone/work very well.
Also, for anyone wishing to submit photos here ensuring your photos are in focus prior to uploading will help everyone tremendously. If you have macro on your camera, use it. If you are holding your camera by hand try to set your camera setting to an action shot. This will make for a very quick exposure/shutter speed and help to eliminate a blurred picture in case you move while taking your picture. My camera isn't the greatest (maybe 15 years old, HP 850) but it does have some features that allow for these settings. Better yet, if you have a time delay on
your camera and a tripod, use them. That way you won't be moving your camera at the
moment the picture is taken. Enough said, Ward over and out.
