unusual shape rock

I would like to know where to take a rock and have a professional look at it? I am lost as what I need to do. This rock is the most unusual in shape. I have been looking on the net and books for the past 5yrs. I have found nothing that has helped in identifying this rock. People have said it looks like a prehistoric nut. I have many pictures of it and will try to attach them. I put photos on at Bobs Rock Shop to see if I could get any help, but when I go to see if the pics are posted they are never there. I don't know if this is going to be seen by anyone either, but if there is anyone that could please help me find out how to get this rock looked at, I will greatly appreciate it.
