If the indexes of the facets on your 96 index diagram are all divisible by 3 with an integer result, yes.

If not, you could still cut the design using a 32 tooth gear, but you would have to "cheat" the non-integer result facets using fractional indexes on your 32 tooth gear. While it is possible to cut using fractional indexes, there is typically a lot of trial and error involved in the process and generally not worth the bother.

Better to acquire a 96 index gear for your machine if one is available.
