Natrolite

I came across a bag of material I forgot I had (photo submitted). I had collected these some time ago. I believe them to be Natrolite. I remember asking a very knowledgeable local rock shop owner, to the collecting site, as to the type of material I had collected. He told me that they were in fact Natrolite. Eroded from the volcanic rock in the area and weather worn destroying any crystal terminations that may have been present. I have made some cabs from this material and I have to say they do make a very beautiful porcelain like cab. Some display a nice pink in color. The needle like sprays of growth interlock together throughout the material, and if orientated properly can display a very nice chatoyance, I can only describe it as such not knowing any other way. A couple of the pieces I suspect had hollows in the nodules, look carefully and see. Sorry, I don't have a photo of the finished cab(s) due to the fact I gave them all away. When I do another one I will be sure to get a photo and submit it.
