Re: Help please with polishing problem

Dave:

If you dont mind researching by reading try to find the book titled Gem Cutting (a lapidarys manual) the author is John Sinkankas. The book most of time has answered many questions that I have had. He not only tells his readers how to slab, trim, grind, and polish almost all rocks. The book has been out of print now for almost 20 years, and is hard to find. Most libraries in the U.S. have a copy for us to use. I just purchased my second copy on the inter net for $50. John goes into lots of details on how to build different items needed for any one in Lapidary work.

I just had call form another rock hound that said he saw an ad on the internet for this book in electronic media for $300.00. I think that this really over priced.

Hope this helps!
