It looks like quartzite stained by iron to me. While technically both quartzite and rose quartz (and milky quartz and amethysts and jaspers...) are the same mineral, they are different rocks formed under different conditions, and rose quartz is usually tranlucent, more pink less orange, and more uniformly colored.
