Jim - thanks for the reply but I am 100% certain it was found in Rhode Island - Sal Avella found it and told me that there were only a few of these in existence. I have lots of Rhodonite, Calcite, and tons of Franklinite in my collection (I collected over 35 years ago). I am very sure he said "some part of rhode island" ITE when he told me. I cataloged all of my collection and this one, probably one of my most important - the only one I never wrote down (it was right about when I stopped collecting). My dad and Sal were friends and my dad gave him a commercial ultrasonic cleaner worth big dollars - this is what Sal gave in exchange along with a few other pieces - it was from his personal collection and was not tagged for sale. I do appreciate your input - thanks.
