Ward makes good points, as always. Cutting hard materials may also "glaze" the blade, covering the diamonds with smeared metal, and reducing cutting efficiency. Cut a little softer material, like a brick, to correct this-one pass should do it. Also, you might consider slowing the feed rate if this is possible on your machine.
