I agree with what has posted and use the tubing on my rocks. when polishing slabs I use either 5lbs or 10lbs weights that placed a wooden dowel that I glue to the slab. The weights are the kind used on bar bells. Most times the weights clank with the other weights but the slabs go chugging along. it's a little noisy but works well. I then place in acetone to dissolve the glue.
My problem is polishing geodes and brazillan agates. The dome shape is hard to keep a weight on. I use lead bb's from a gun shop in a plastic bag wrapped in duct tape. I then glue Velcro to the rock and weight. It messy when cleaning the grit in the different stages. any ideas on geode polishing?
