Mark, Not sure as to what type of lap you have. With mine I have the option of 2 settings on the arm on the motor. Try setting the arm for minimal vibration. Maybe that will help your cause, maybe not. I also use the tubing with my setup as well. I have one main ring around the pan and with the bulk tubing you can make any size you want. But even the tubing at times has jumped the stones and I will get 2 stones in the same ring. Constant checking of the operation is necessary. You don't have to be there every minute but listening to sound changes can be beneficial. Another option is to do fewer stones at a time.
