Hello Jim, I am not a geologist so I cannot attest to this material being a pyroxenite. It is however, kimberlite. Does kimberlite fall into being a pyroxenite? I have no idea. Many years ago I had gone on a field trip with a group of rockhounders and was fortunate to have been able to collect some kimberlite. The material has been sitting in a bucket untouched until recently. I started to go through it and came upon the piece I have posted. It is a treasure to me and will always remind me of the great time we all had. It's hard to beat getting outside and doing some exploring. Thanks for your input!
