Re: Recommend faceting book for beginners?

I have been cabbing and rock collecting for years and only started faceting last year myself (I love it BTW). Books are great, but I would recommend that you find your local lapidary club and either attend a class to get started or find a mentor to get you started. I have found that once you get to know your way around your machine (every brand/model is a little different), cutting is pretty easy; however, learning to orient some stones and polishing them is an art that you can use some good advise for. Also join the faceting list over at Yahoo.
