Recommend faceting book for beginners?

Hello, all.

I have just acquired a used UltraTec model V2 faceting machine. I don't know for sure how old it is, but it hasn't been used for several years. It's been stored indoors and is absolutely immaculate. Though it didn't come with a manual, the original owner kept meticulous records of every stone he cut. Those notebooks came with the machine.

The only instructions that came with it is a small booklet titled "Facet Cutters Handbook" by Edward J. Soukup, (c)1962.

I also have John Sinkankas' "Gem Cutting: A Lapidary's Manual" Second Edition (1955, 1962). (I got that one at a library book sale for 50 cents!)

UltraTec has a downloadable manual on their website, and I'll be downloading that this evening.

Anyone have any recommendations for beginners' faceting instructions? Or will this be enough to get me started?
