Geode? Fossilized egg? Doorstop?
I'm in Denver, and came across an unusual rock near Granby, CO this weekend. It's round, rough, approx. 6" in diameter. It has several outer layers, and is crumbling down 3 - 4 layers in some places. Each surface is also covered with numerous white speck-like spots. This is not a mere river rock, and from my distant recollection of geodes, I would like to find someone in Denver who could examine it. I've been advised to go to the Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum, and will later this week. But if anyone wants to take a a look, I can send pics. Not sure how to attach pics, but I could email them. Let me know, thanks. Schuyler (sky ler) - jschuylert@yahoo.com
