Hello, my name is Joyce Backer. I live in the panhandle of Nebraska(Sidney) and am interested in rockhounding as a hobby. I grew up with a grandmother and father who always took me out on long walks in the North and South Platte river beds picking up rocks along the way. I have visited countless rock shops in the past and have always been facinated by the specimens for sale. I have been up by Crawford, Ne. bringing home rocks for my gardens and probably have a few nice agates to show for it. I am interested in finding some good sites to collect in Colorado, South Dakota, Nebraska and Wyoming if anyone has any tips or hints that would also be great! Keep in mind I am new to this and pretty naive about alot of it, but I sure would like to find some nice specimens of my own to display. Im not afraid to get dirty or spend a good amount of time getting to a good location either so help if you can please! Thank you! Joyce
