Hi Sue A couple of years ago I purchased some amber from Chiapas Amber Creations, located in BC Canada. They deal in amber from Chiapas, Mexico. Chiapas amber is older, clearer and harder than most ambers and it is not heat treated. Stay away from South American amber it is softer and more like copal.
