My wife got me to go to the beach the other day and I picked up some rocks. I think that some of them would look nice polished up. I don't have a rock tumbler, but I do have a dremel tool and was wondering how I would go about putting a nice shine on some of these rocks. I remember collecting rocks as a kid and now 59 years later I've decided to take up the hobby again.

I've found very scarce to no information at all on how to get started again. I did buy a rock and gem book today at Border's.

Also identifying what I picked up at the beach is going to be a bit tricky as well. Hopefully this is the website to come to for information. There isn't much out there or else I don't know how to search very well.
