Itacolumite

My husband grew up on land that has a rock quary in NC. His grandfather gave him a piece of Itacolumite. We're not rock collectors, and really have no idea how much, if anything, this is worth. This rock is all over his parents land, and we've always referred to it as bendy rock. We've heard it's rare, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how rare, and a rough estimate of it's value.
Here are the measurements:
9 1/2 inches long
almost 2 inches wide
1/4 inch thick
Thank so much for taking the time to read this.
