Newbie Question

Just getting started, so if the question is dumb, please forgive me and give the answer anyway. I have a new tumbler on the way. I also have some jade, opal, quartz and agate. Which, if any can be tumbled together? I know you shouldn't tumble something too soft with something harder, but I don't know how far you can go. Can I tumble the opal (5.5 - 6) with the quartz (7) or is that too wide a gap?

Any help would be appreciated.
