What is this unusual rock?

Got a large rock (80 - 100 lbs.) It isn't magnetic so it probably isn't a meteor.
It looks like it was once round but broke in half revealing a perfectly round hollow center. It's dark colored - black and brown and like I said very heavy.
Does anybody know what this is? Can you give me a lead as to where I can take this for inspection?

This is a picture of the rock on its side.
