The petrified bird: this is uniquely weathered (worn) limestone and not a fossilized bird.

for the meteor photo: I'm 99% certain what you have there is a concretion (rounded formation) from an petroleum-bearing rock. I went on a feild trip to southern oklahoma and took several of these home. For future reference, meteors aren't rounded at all, usually they are quite jagged and flat, pretty heavy for their size, and frequently magnetic. Note: if you google image search "petroleum bearing concretion" you will find lots of photos which look very similar to your specimen. Hope this helps!
