Hard a quartz - Is this petrified bone?

I just uploaded 6 different views of a bone? I found along the Colorado river in Arizona that I would love help identifying. The photos are titled "Hard a quartz - Is this petrified bone, (what animal)? something else? #1-6" The item is 2.5 x 3 inches and weighs 7 ounces - it scratches hard like quartz. Any of you experts out there have any idea if this is fossilized bone or just a particularly interesting eroded rock? TIA
