The Tucson shows are a great place to start. The best one would probably be the Electric Park (the baseball park south of downtown) show. Several knappers have booths there and are demonstrating their art. There are also a number of dealers who have flint and obsidian.

The Quartzite shows are also a great place for knappers, I head over there every year with a knapper friend. The best show for that material is the Garden Show, and also one large area just across the parking lot from Carl's Jr.
