Bob, I usually set my camera to macro with an action setting. Given a steady hand, or better yet a tripod, I find that these settings work. I have an HP850 camera that I bought many years ago. I can zoom in on smaller objects if necessary, but not into digital zoom, the quality of the pic gets lost. It wouldn't hurt to take several pics of your target with these settings. Check some of my picture postings here and see if they are clear to you? Another biggy is the lighting to capture the beauty of your pieces. I am not a lighting expert, but try different set-ups and maybe you will find what works for you. Food for thought, Ward.
