Matt, What I have done is placed several of the small geode halves on a flat surface, placed a plastic cylinder or paper cylinder made from large drink cups (picnic cups)around the geode halves and then filled the cylinder with plaster of paris. The larger the diameter of the drink cup the more geode halves you can fit inside. Generally the weight of the plaster of paris was sufficent that I did not have to add additional weight.
