Help to identify horror flick rock

I recently obtained this material from a neighbor who had a tennant who was a artist that did rock sculptures. The light area color varies from cream to green. The black areas and veins look like picasso jasper. The structure is rather coarse and is softer than agate but cuts and polishes fairly well. May be a calcite and is about the same hardness. I think the cab I am cutting from this rough is beautiful; my wife thinks it looks like something out of a horror flick.
