Sorry about the abbreviations in subject line. Wanted to be specific.

We'll be heading for the gem shows in Tucson this year and hope to do some collecting while en route and in the area. We've checked Bearce and Mitchell, but we know that members of this group have better and more current information that we hope you'll share with relative newbies at collecting.

If anyone has updated information and/or tips and pointers on what to look for and how to find it, we'd appreciate it. We do know something about what we're doing. We've been rockhounding in Connecticut, Maine, North Carolina and New Jersey and we learn new stuff every trip. In Arizona, we've looked at sites southeast of Tucson -- even found some of them. And found some calcite, rhyolite and fire agate.

As I said, we're learning and would appreciate help.
