Bob... thank you for the personal reply. After the loss of Jeff, Whom I considered my "mentor", I have been "winging" it. I wasted a large chunk of CZ when I oriented it improperly on the dop. I have less than 10% of the original chunk left on the dop and a thick layer of white goo settled in the bottom of my catch bucket... and the stone is not yet past the pavillion cut. I'm getting close now. I hope you will allow me to be your student as I learn the craft. Thank you for the suggestion of the GIA. Albert
