I recently picked up at a yard sale a Blakes's Compact Gem Polisher for a dollar. A couple of the hardwood drums are cracked. Can these be repaired and if so, how? Are replacement drums available for these types of polishers - a series of horizontal hardwood drums for use with diamond paste? The drums are rotated with a belt driven by a small electric motor. Is anyone familiar with this unit? It's a model 6XL, Serial 6497, Blake's, 1700 Bedford, Los Angeles. Thanks for any information any of you can provide.
