Re: Cutting fluid for grinders?

I have been reading the replies with interest, because I am sure I saw as ad a few months ago touting a slab/trim saw that used water. Thought at the time, wow, that would be great! This post revived my interest, and I went looking. You know how that goes, right? But, did come across a further explanation for the oil argument on the Lortone site. They claim that the oil is not only for cooling, but for lubricating the screw-drive mechanism. So apparently the lubrication part does not have to do with the blade-rock interface, but rather with the screw drive.

If I do manage to come across the info I've supposedly seen on the water cooled one, will post it.
