Re: Dop Stick Problems
I use to have the very same problems with wax and dopping that you are having. Then I read somewhere that a viable alternative was to use aluminum sticks and super glue. So I tried it, and I will NEVER go back to the wax. For the sticks, I use exacto knife handles (the cheap ones), they have a nice flat end to glue to the back of the cab, and they're just the right length. (Take the blade out, of course). I just lay the cab on the counter, put a good size drop of super glue in the middle, and then hold the flat end of the stick in place against the cab for about 20 seconds. When you're through working the cab, just put in a jar with a lid with acetone above the level of the cab-stick junction. Leave it overnight, and the next morning the cab will easily come off, and any glue residue is easily scrapped off. Try it, you'll like it!Becky
